Your skin deserves TLC

Our skin is our largest organ and it deserves so much TLC. I think what we're putting on our faces is very important. I really think about what I put on my skin and am vigilant with my research. I'm a huge fan of Vitamin C and Hyularonic Acid Serums.

I prefer a lightweight daily moisturizer that brings out the inner glow in my skin. Our facial skincare is important but let’s not forget that the rest of our skin also needs care. Beauty routines for me are an opportunity to notice changes within myself. The science behind skin-care products has come a long way but there’s still no such thing as an instant fix and consistency is key. Enhancing your neutral features and letting your real skin show through is what beauty means to me. After all the dedication and effort I put into looking after my skin, I prefer not to cover it up. Just as well the era of caked-on makeup and overlined lips is over.

          ltimately, caring for your skin is simply personal. When it comes to anti-aging, I'm also a fan

          of  microcurrent facials which is simply my fitness for my face. It's a workout for my facial  

          muscles in order to encourage brighter skin tone, reduce wrinkles, and give an overall lifted appearance. Whilst I am so dedicated and put in so much time and effort into looking after my skin, I also know that our daily habits have a big impact on what we see in the mirror. We are how we move and how we eat. 

Exercising is one of the key things in delaying the effects of aging and increasing our beauty span. In addition, learn to love sweat during your workouts because it's the best kept secret for glowing skin. Sweating is an important and natural function of your skin and it also makes the skin glow by flushing out all impurities. After an intense workout, I also really love that post-workout glow.

Our skin is an outer reflection of our inner health. The condition of our skin also reflects what we eat and highlights the importance of looking after yourself from the inside out. Food is fuel and our bodies function best when we provide it with healthy, balanced and nutritious food. Therefore exercise and making the right choices in what we reach for to nourish ourselves is also going to help let our beauty shine.

Fresh Faced and Glowing 

I wear make up for myself. It makes me feel good. I am all for multipurpose products. A good quality liquid blush is a must have. It's the most versatile product in my beauty cupboard. I use it on my eyelids, lips and cheeks. A quick way to bring a fresh flush to your face. It has to be a lightweight, sheer, buildable coverage which melts effortlessly into my skin. I also love bronzer. My favourite blush and bronzer are ideal and mostly all I need for my favourite look. I finish with a lip liner and brow pencil. The O Beauty look ... Subtle sun-kissed radiance, fresh faced and glowing. Less is more.

Long Lashes and Bold Brows

I’m very specific about my lashes and brows. I use conditioning and growth serums which keeps them looking healthy. If your brows look like they need a little TLC, my favourite is Long Lashes and Bold Brows by Cangro.

The Power of Scent 

The sense of smell (or olfaction) is our most primitive sense and yet is one of the most powerful senses that cannot be turned off. As part of my daily work life working with creating signature scents for spaces, I understand the power of scent. Smell is the only one of the five senses which has a direct path to our limbic system, the centre of our brain which is responsible for memories, mood and emotion.

 

Just as a signature scent is a 'finishing touch' to your personal style and elegance or to a hotel lobby or a retail store, smell is also a big part of our health and or beauty routines. And it's no secret that smelling good goes beyond a great perfume. 

 

Smelling good boosts your confidence and has an impact on how people respond to you. Making sure you always smell clean even after a long day at work or a big workout at the gym, is not only about feeling clean but also vital in making a positive impact on every situation. Don't you love if people stop you to compliment your smell? I do. 

 

Besides the obvious number one requirement, which is having good hygiene habits, your deodorant, a subtle scented body lotion to help moisturise and make our skin smell amazing, your hair (who by the way doesn't love having shiny beautiful smelling hair) and how your clothes smell are all, not such big secretes to smelling great.

Your unique fragrance, your scent is one of the best ways to create a lasting first impression. People are naturally drawn to beautiful smells and a unique, beautiful fragrance will certainly get people more attracted to you. Your signature fragrance is your presence. 

 

Scents are so much integral parts of our lifestyle. Personally, professionally and in our homes. Looking good and smelling good are intricately linked.
